CC Robinson has been writing stories - mostly in her mind - since she was little. Her first officially published book was a 27-page fiction work in fourth grade about a white family who marched with Dr. King. This was the before the internet, so of course she had no idea another book already existed about this.

Since then, she’s undertaken various non-fiction and fiction works, blogs, and pens far too many emails. By day, she is a wife, mom, pastor and director of finance for her church in Cincinnati. By night, she throws on her superhero cape to rescue her own dystopian world, Divided. You can often find her in her garden, on the dance floor (salsa!), or curled up by the fire reading a book.

She’s on most socials (@ccrobinson) and blogs on this website.

A third-generation Indiana University graduate, CC spent six years in downtown Chicago as a commercial lender. Numbers came easily to her, but selling money wasn’t her thing, so she went off to medical school. CC finished her combined medical and masters in public health degree from Vanderbilt University in 2004.

After graduating, CC founded an international nonprofit and opened medical clinics, economic empowerment programs, and leadership training initiatives in nations emerging from civil war. She spent the longest time in Sierra Leone, though she’s worked in Colombia, South Africa, and briefly (and only virtually) in Afghanistan.

She loved taking the medical clinic to the people - loading medical supplies and providers into vehicles (or on the back of motorcycles!) and heading into the bush. CC will never complain (too much) about American potholes after riding in a VW bus around and through the craters left by roadside bombs and mines in Sierra Leone and she still thinks Colombia has the best food in the world.

CC and her family (hubbie Steve and three Gen Z kids) moved from Nashville to Cincinnati, OH in 2013, where she first heard about underground tunnels being used to roll beer kegs from brewery to warehouse in the Prohibition era. CC now had her setting for Divided - Cincinnati and her inspiration for the rebel movement in her book - the Underground Railroad. Divided, the first book in the tetralogy (that's a 4-book series!) is available at retailers everywhere. Book 2, Caged, will be available fall 2025.

CC is available for speaking engagements to churches, schools and civic groups. Booking details on her media page.
